My apologies for the delay in posting my review. I called in a few weeks ago to get a up, close and personal view of... the accommodation. I was greeted at the reception by Amy who answered all my questions very professionally. With Amy was a guy who looked after the maintenance and he explained his role within Riverside, I didn't catch his name but he was very hospitable. These two gave me a lot of faith and confidence in booking my future uni accommodation at Riverside House once I've secured my place.read more

My son moved into Riverside this September and what an easy transition it was for him. Organising the viewing, moving... in date etc was really simple and the receptionist Amy was on hand to answer every question we had and added advice on things we hadn't thought of. Great place to start Uni life.read more

As a parent it is one of the hardest things to help choose a safe environment for your child in a new City. My... daughter stayed at Riverside for two years and felt safe and happy here and met some great friends. The reception and night porters are always on hand for advice from directions, things to do, places to shop etc. The cleaners do an exceptional job and it was the best decision we made.read more

I’ve lived here for the past 6 weeks and I can honestly say that there’s only good things to say about Riverside... House. I can’t understand the negative reviews this place has been getting online. I think that’s a bit unfair on the friendly and forever helpful staff. Great place to stay especially if you are a University of Salford student like me. Thanks Riverside House.read more

The staff were all very supportive and provide a safe place to live when you are leaving your family and friends at... home to start a new life. The standard of living I have no complaints and am glad that certain people are not allow to do what ever they wish as its keeps the place safe and clean and tidyread more

These apartments are meant to be luxury 😂😂 the only thing luxury about this accommodation are the prices of the... vending machine!! And also don’t expect to get any of your deposit back because they’ll take money for the stupidest things. I got charged for spoons and blankets that were never in the apartment to start with hahaha absolute jokersread more

Student accommodation? Next joke!! Want to bring some of your friends into your flat? Think again. Want to have a party... during freshers? Think again. Want to make some friends whilst at uni? Think again. However, if you enjoy living in a flat full of spiders and being dealt with by unapproachable, unprofessional and “prison warden” like staff, then Riverside House is the place for you!read more

Terrible, accomodation won’t be anything like the photos unless you get one of the five corner ones. They expect you... to share a three tiered fridge and freezer between five people. Terrible management. Overnight policy is dumb.read more

If you want to live in a prison and pay through the nose for it, then book a room at Riverside House!!! The staff are... rude, rooms are tired and dated, cant even bring mates round without having to fill out a forms that then needs to be approved. If you want to a positive experience while living away from home, then stay elsewhere!!!read more

Vile place. rude unhelpful staff, would NEVER recommend this place to any first year students. It is not the proper... ‘uni experience’ as it is nothing like living in proper halls on campus. The rent is extortionate and I can’t see why. Spiders everywhere too and the rooms get ridiculously hot. No sense of community and I didn’t make any friends due to it being so ‘exclusive’ and horribly cliquey. Still haven’t received my deposit despite moving out 2 years ago and going to a far better uni with far better accommodation for half the price.read more

AVOID. They will try and take your deposit even for damages that are normal for a five year old building. Place was... dirty when moving in, and lots of missing items. Tried to charge me for those too. All major damages will have additional fees for fitting and delivery of around 100%. Broken oven? £120 new on Curry’s but they’ll charge you £245 for the replacement. £100 hob? That’ll be £202! Makes you wander what kind of wage their handyman is on. All reviews of the grumpy security guard that makes you file form after form for car parking and friends over, are true. Add on top of that the extraordinary rent of £150pw (plus £4.60 per washing machine and dryer use), honestly you’re better off going to any other student accommodation.read more

Had a great time here. Had nice flat mates. Even made friends towards the end. The staff is incredibly devoted and... friendly, I was always assisted whenever I needed to be (taxi, room). I enjoyed the cleanliness of the place. Loved that it is near a bus stop and close to the supermartket and to the city centre!!!!! Only 12 min walk and you are in town. So whenever I went out, I even walked home at times from the city centre. It is also a safe place and neighbourhood. Downside: One cannot be too loud...I enjoy listening to music, but the walls are quite thin, so it you have a neighbour that does not enjoy loud music, you are doomed to listen to music through your headphones all all year round. Not possible to have parties there...There is no common sharing area either, where one can play pool, ping pong or just have a coffee with a friend. There is no computer cluster or gym equipment. It was a bit too far for me as I studied somewhere near Oxford road and walking and taking the bus every day was not sooo cool. I got used to it very quickly though. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who studies in Salford.read more
